Foreign experience of integrated teaching of natural sciences in school education

Annotation. Integrated science education is an important direction of modern education, contributing to the development of systems thinking, interdisciplinary connections and practical application of knowledge. In many countries of the world, the integration of educational subjects helps to make education more effective and interesting for students. The article reviews the experience of implementing integrated science education in the education systems of leading countries in the world, including Finland, Great Britain, the USA, Italy, Poland, Singapore, and China. The features of building integrated courses, the structure of curricula, levels of specialization, and approaches to shaping the content of science education are analyzed. Analysis of foreign experience shows that integrated science education is a powerful tool for developing students' holistic worldview, critical thinking, and the ability to apply knowledge in real life. Educational models from countries such as Finland, the United Kingdom, the United States, Italy, Poland, Singapore, and China demonstrate the high effectiveness of an interdisciplinary approach due to its flexibility, practical orientation, and technological support. Special attention is paid to project-based learning, STEM education, digital technologies, and early involvement of students in scientific activities. Based on comparative analysis, directions for adapting foreign experience to Ukrainian educational practice are outlined, taking into account the needs of the New Ukrainian School. The importance of training teachers for interdisciplinary teaching, flexibility of curricula, and partnerships with academic institutions and business was emphasized.
