Annotation. Agricultural development is an important topic in current economic and environmental debates, especially in the context of the growing global demand for food security and environmental policy implementation. Currently, many agricultural actors are working to increase the productivity of agroecosystems, which will help to fill local budgets and enable cooperation between farms and food processing companies, as well as relevant authorities. Implementation of these steps is impossible without the use of modern technologies, such as precision farming, which involves the use of remote sensing data, geographic information systems and other innovative methods that allow monitoring the state of agricultural land use. For territories with a significant share of agricultural land (arable land, pastures) in the land use system, positioning agriculture as a promising area of influence on local economic stability is a priority. As part of the study to determine the potential for agricultural development, the Ruzhynska settlement territorial community was selected as a demonstration case. To analyse the current state of the industry, data on registered agricultural processing enterprises and the existing land fund system were processed. The results showed that the agricultural sector accounts for more than 40% of the operating enterprises in the community. In addition to the economic data, the natural conditions that determine the (dis)favourable conditions for agribusiness were also taken into account. In particular, the NDVI index was calculated to identify spatial patterns of dense and sparse vegetation. The results obtained made it possible to form a comprehensive vision of the community's agricultural potential, which in the future can complement the local development strategy.
