Annotation. The article is devoted to the analysis of opportunities and challenges associated with the implementation of STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) in the field of tourism and recreation. Education through the integration of disciplines for the implementation of the STEM principle is considered. The main directions of integration of STEM education in tourism and recreation are determined, best practices are analyzed and key challenges on the path of such integration are identified. Recommendations for the effective integration of STEM education in these areas are formulated, aimed at training a new generation of specialists capable of introducing innovations into the tourism industry.
