Annotation. Conducting tourism and local history activities is directly related to the work of geography teachers. It is the geography teachers who teach the peculiarities of spatial processes and environmental phenomena, instill in schoolchildren a sense of love and respect for their own country and its people, in particular, for their native land. Today in Ukraine, dozens of higher education institutions train future geography teachers, but not all of them have tourism and local history activities. High-quality training of geography teachers was, is and will always be relevant, because this is the field of education, and education is the basis of a successful future of the country.
